Support

FinTidy is built and maintained by one person, so support is a real inbox rather than a ticketing system. Write in and you will get an answer.

What to include

The more of this you can give, the faster the answer. None of it is mandatory.

  • What you were trying to do, and what happened instead
  • The screen you were on when it went wrong
  • Your phone model and Android version
  • A screenshot, if the problem is visible

Please do not send passwords. Nobody at FinTidy will ever ask you for one, and there is no situation in which support needs it.

Common questions, answered already

  • I forgot my password. Use the “Forgot password” link on the sign-in screen. A reset email arrives from Firebase, so check your spam folder if it does not appear.
  • I signed up with Google and now cannot sign in with a password. Those are two different identities. Keep using the Google button.
  • My figures look wrong after setup. The starting balance you entered during setup is the baseline everything is calculated from. Correct it in Settings and the dashboard recalculates.
  • I want to cancel, or I need a refund. Both are handled in the Play Store, under Payments and subscriptions, because Google is the seller. If that route is not working, write in anyway.
  • I was charged after my trial ended. The trial converts to a paid month unless cancelled before it runs out. If the timing looks wrong, send the date and the receipt and it will be sorted.
  • I want my account gone. See deleting your account. Note that deleting your data does not cancel the subscription — do that in the Play Store as well.

Known issues

Nothing outstanding at the moment. Anything confirmed will be listed here with a note on when a fix is expected.

Requesting a feature

Send it to the same address. Recurring transactions, per-category budgets and month-on-month comparisons are already on the list, so if one of those is what you want, saying so helps it move up.
