Terms of use

Last updated 20 September 2026

By using FinTidy you agree to what is below. It is short on purpose. If something here seems unreasonable, write in and say so.

FinTidy is not financial advice

The app records figures you enter and does arithmetic on them. It does not advise you, does not know your circumstances, and is not a substitute for a qualified financial professional. Decisions you make after looking at it are your own.

Your account

  • You need an account to use FinTidy, and you must be at least 13.
  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Activity under your account is treated as yours.
  • One person, one account. Do not create accounts for other people.

Subscription and billing

FinTidy is a paid subscription. It costs $4 per month, and the first 14 days are free.

  • Google takes the payment, not us. Subscriptions are sold and billed through Google Play Billing. Your card details go to Google and are never seen by FinTidy.
  • It renews automatically at the end of each month until you cancel. The trial converts to a paid month unless you cancel before it ends.
  • Your Google account is the record. Payment dates, receipts and the renewal date all live in your Play Store subscriptions, alongside every other subscription you hold.

Cancelling

Cancel at any time from the Play Store, under Payments and subscriptions. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee, and no message you have to send anyone.

You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again after that. Cancelling does not delete your data. If you want that gone as well, see deleting your account.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy, because Google is the seller. Requests go through the Play Store rather than through FinTidy.

If you are in the EU or the UK you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Buying a subscription and starting to use the app straight away means you are asking for the service to begin during that window, which can reduce what you are entitled to reclaim. Nothing here removes a right the law gives you.

If something has gone wrong and the Play Store route is not sorting it out, write to support@fintidy.app anyway.

Price changes

The price may change. If it does, you will be told before the change affects you, through the app and through Google, and you will have the chance to cancel before the new price is charged. A price rise never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Your data is yours

Everything you enter belongs to you. FinTidy claims no ownership over your figures and does not use them for any purpose beyond running the app for you, as described in the privacy policy.

You can delete your account at any time, which erases that data permanently.

What you agree not to do

  • Attempt to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours
  • Interfere with the service, or put load on it designed to degrade it for others
  • Reverse engineer the app in order to circumvent its security
  • Use FinTidy for anything unlawful

What is promised, and what is not

FinTidy is provided with reasonable care and skill, and the aim is for it to be available and working. It is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or fault free. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn, though anything that materially reduces what you are paying for will be announced before it happens.

To the extent the law allows, liability for losses arising from your use of FinTidy is limited to the amount you have paid in the twelve months before the claim. That specifically includes financial decisions taken on the strength of what the app displays, which, as above, is arithmetic on figures you entered and not advice.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not permit it to be limited, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ending things

You may cancel and delete your account whenever you like, as described above. Accounts that abuse the service, or that are used in breach of these terms, may be suspended or removed. If an account is closed for a reason that is not your fault, any unused part of the period you have paid for will be refunded.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows when they last were, and significant changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use FinTidy after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app’s publisher, CryptLabs, is established.
